Noovle, an Italian company offering ICT and cloud consultancy services, is the first FDI project to be allocated space at the new Gozo Innovation Hub. The company will be setting up a research centre focusing on cloud/hybrid cloud; machine learning and blockchain processes, as well as basing a technical team to offer solutions in these fields to its clients.

Noovle, which is also present in other EU countries, assists its clients to move towards a Digital Enterprise Model. The company works in collaboration with Google and even develops products for Google clients. Its network and portfolio of clients is impressive and comprises various big firms across Italy, such as Barilla, Ferrero, the Sapienza University of Roma, Sky, Eni, Fiat and many others.

With the assistance of Malta Enterprise, Noovle is setting up at the Gozo Innovation Hub in two strategic phases namely the setting up of a technical team that will be certified by Google through specific Resource Training in the first quarter of 2019, which will then be followed by the establishment of the centre focusing on R&D and blockchain development. The project will carry an investment of €650,000 and will see the creation of 35 new jobs over three years.

As Paolo Vannuzzi, CEO of Noovle stated “it is a pleasure to be here and to start our activity here. For us it is important to have the correct environment to work and to develop our activity”.

Malta Enterprise CEO, Mario Galea said: “It is an honour for us to have assisted a company like Noovle to set up in Gozo. Noovle’s presence here will surely attract more companies in this growing sector.” He added that Malta Enterprise is committed to continue attracting companies that will take Malta and Gozo’s visibility to the next level.

The new Gozo Innovation Hub has been developed by Malta Enterprise and Malta Industrial Parks at the former MDP plant with the aim of providing a space where creatives and researchers from all spheres and industries could come together to work independently, side by side.
