Maltese involved in Italian multi-million insurance scam
According to press reports in Italy, a multi-million insurance scam involving false car accidents was put in place in Naples. The racket was headed by the Cocuzza brothers, who organized everything through the collaboration of 18 lawyers, all named. The money paid by the insurances would, according to the newspaper reports, be reimbursed to bank accounts in Malta. This activity according to the reports, was facilitated by the “accounting activity” of two Maltese siblings named Sciberras who, according to the reports, worked at the “Banca di Malta”.
