Data science company Lobeslab launches powerful Covid-19 time-series visualisation dashboard
Maltese data science company Lobeslab, business partners to Business Leaders Malta, recently launched a free powerful time-series visualisation dashboard which tracks, monitors and records Covid-19 cases as they happen in Malta and across the globe. The dashboard was released to the public and can be easily accessed via a computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone.
The new dashboard enriches the trove of information that is already being published on a daily basis in relation to the Covid-19 outbreak by gathering information from a variety of credible local and international sources and merging the data into one (all-inclusive) central platform. All of the observations in the dashboard are based on mathematical models and the data made available by reputable and trusted sources such as the World Health Organisation and Johns Hopkins University.
The visual report offers viewers a global overview of the total infected, recovered and death counts, including a comprehensive timeline of how the Covid-19 situation is evolving on local shores and abroad, as well as a detailed breakdown of cases by country and continent. The breakdown by country and continent gives viewers a deeper insight into what the situation is like in the selected area based on a number of factors including age and gender distribution, country of origin, nationality and transmission type.
The report also indicates the current state of infected cases, active cases, deaths and recovered areas and incorporates the global health index into the equation to see whether there are specific shifts in patterns of the contagion based on the health index of a particular area.
Following the launch of the dashboard, the group of data scientists recently also publicly released a Covid-19 Git repository for other data scientists and analysts who are analysing Covid-19 data. The repository takes a closer look at Malta’s Covid-19 cases and holds detailed information and data sets about each and every Covid-19 case in Malta.
