Malta-owned Premier Capital served 85 million customers in 185 McDonald’s restaurant­s in 2023

Group plans 11 new restaurant­s for 2024

Premier Capital plc, the Maltese company which operates 185 McDonald’s restaurant­s across six European countries, is planning 11 new stores this year as it celebrates the results of 2023.

The Group served over 85 million customers last year, 11% more than in 2022. In just one day, on 1 June, Premier Capital served a record 337,190 customers across the Baltics, Greece, Malta and Romania.

The increase in customers was primarily achieved through expanding the Group’s network, with 11 new restaurant­s last year. The Group invested more than €33m in opening new stores and refurbishi­ng existing ones, incorporat­ing technologi­es like Mobile Order and Pay to provide a better experience for guests.

Premier Capital is part of Hili Ventures and is the developmen­tal licensee for McDonald’s in Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta and Romania, with a team of almost 11,000 people. The Group’s biggest operation is in Romania, which today has 102 restaurant­s and accounts for 54% of the Group’s revenue.

Premier Capital reported consolidat­ed revenue of €646m for the year ending December 2023, with EBITDA reaching €89m. Pre-tax profit totaled €51m.

Premier Capital is also the founding partner of four Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Chapters in Greece, Latvia, Malta and Romania which support families in need within their respective countries. The Group donated over half a million euros in 2023, raised through initiative­s across all stores.
