Nine-day event at Cavalieri Hotel in aid of l-iStrina
The management and staff at the Cavalieri Hotel are organising a nine-day charity event in aid of l-iStrina, between 16 and 25 November. A programme of activities has been drawn up aiming to draw everyone’s interest ranging from football tournaments to bike rides. This is the second edition of this initiative, since the hotel managed to raise a total of €20,000 in 2011 which were handed to the MCCF during l-iStrina.
For the first time ever, Cavalieri Hotel in collaboration with BehindBarz Events under the supervision of the Office of the President and MCCF, are organising a flair bartending competition.
The competition will be held at the Cavalieri Hotel, St Julian’s between 9am and 4pm on Wednesday, 21 November. President George Abela will be attending the opening.
Flair bartending is a form of art and during the practice, any bartender can entertain guests, clientele and au- diences with manipulations of bar tools, beverage bottles and other equipment. Flairing offers an enhancement to any bartending service.
The main attraction of this competition, with a maximum of 30 participants, is the participation of two world champion competitors, Tisho Mihailov and Ventisislav Valchev.
Mr Mihailov, who currently also works in Malta, is the current world champion and will also be available for bartending tips for anyone interested. Great prizes await all the winners during the competition.
To apply for the flair bartending competition, kindly send an email to info@behindbarzevents.com with the subject: ‘Make a drink with Style for those in Need!’
Following this competition, the orgnanisers will be available at Places Club in Paceville where Cavalieri Hotel in full collaboration with BehindBarz Events will attempt to break the current World Record of the largest Piña Colada ever prepared.
