Football - Hoffenheim’s Vukcevic moved as condition improves

-

Hoffenheim midfielder Boris Vukcevic has been moved from Heidelberg University Hospital to a rehabilitation clinic as the player’s condition continues to improve following his serious car accident. Hoffenheim manager Andreas Mueller says “we remain very confident in Boris’ recovery. But the situation is still very tense so we want to continue dealing with it respectfully and sensitively, especially for Boris and his family.” The 22-year-old Vukcevic remains in a coma induced after operations on his head and brain following the accident on Sept. 28, when his car collided head-on with a truck. Vukcevic is a diabetic and police said he had a sudden drop in blood sugar level when he lost control of the car on the road between Heidelberg and Hoffenheim, a suburb of Sinsheim.
