Manoel Theatre announces BOV support agreement for ToiToi Education Programme

-

Manoel Theatre is pleased to announce the agreement reached with Bank of Valletta to support its ToiToi Education Programme.

Now in its second season the programme, which is managed by Rosetta Debattista, continues to build on its success with the introduction of Cosmic ToiToi 628, concerts designed for children aged six to eight. These are added to the already well-established and successful events for 022 (babies to two-year-old) and 325 (three to five-year-olds) as well as the ToiToi Bonanzas which feature visiting artists, pre-show talks and Teatru Manoel’s Youth Theatre.

Ray Attard, Manoel Theatre’s CEO, stated: “The ToiToi Education Programme is of particular importance to the Manoel as it enables us to fulfil our mission to educate and expand our audiences. What better way is there to do this than to introduce children from a young age to the joys of live music and performance? We are particularly grateful to BOV for agreeing to support this programme for the next three seasons. Although our plans are ambitious, our resources are not infinite and we need external support, such as BOV’s, to continue to be a significant contributor to the local cultural scene, apart from the fact that we also need to maintain such a historically valuable theatre.”

Vanessa Macdonald, head, PR and Social Media for BOV added: “Our Kids for Culture programme is aimed at instilling a love of culture, whether music, art or drama, into children from an early age as we believe that this appreciation will remain with them throughout their adulthood. The Bank’s Community Relations Programme is biased towards art and culture and it would be a great shame if the richness of Malta’s talent was not appreciated by future generations.”
