Return to Innocence
Return to Innocence is the first production by Dance Works a newly formed semi-professional dance company with its residency at The Dance Workshop. All the cast have had years of training and perform on a regular basis.
The inspiration for this production comes from a famous quote by Woody Allen which basically states how he would like to experience his next life in reverse.
Life is a journey we all travel but we all take different paths to it whether we had to live it chronologically forward or in reverse as stated in the above mentioned quote. This I think is what makes this production interesting, it gives us time to sit down and reflect on aspects of our life.
Four choreographers, Theresa Lungaro Mifsud, Pamela Kerr, Diane Portelli and Rachel Grech have chosen to explore a time frame in someone’s life. They take the journey of portraying someone’s life from Death till the unborn child and beyond.
The performance will be held on 20 October at City Theatre in Valletta. Tickets, at €15, and are on sale either from The Dance Workshop or from www.biljetti.com. Tickets will also be available for sale from the door.
