27 October – a day to remember for Maltese rock and metal

-

27 October will be a day to remember for the Maltese rock and metal scene, when some of the finest musicians will team up to pay tribute to one of the best internationally acclaimed voice and artist of our time - Ronnie James Dio.

The idea was conceived earlier this year when Owen Grech had a vision of organising a tribute concert to one of his favourite artists. Word got around the local scene and sooner than expected all positions had been filled up. Rehearsals have been taking place for some months.

Apart from a three-hour explosive live performance, the event will also be raising funds for the Malta Hospice Movement, helping patients suffering from cancer, which was Dio’s last battle before he sadly passed away two years ago.

Expect music from Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Heaven and Hell and obviously the band Dio.

The main band will consist of Owen Grech, Michael Briguglio, Michael Spiteri, Paul Barbara, Julian Grech, Luciano Schembri, and Mikaela and Yorika Attard.

Also featuring will be Leo (Forsaken), Jordan (Nomad Son/Frenzy Mono), Chris (26ow), Jozi, Paul (Colorblind), Daryl, Angela (12thOde), Steve Lombardo (BNI), Paul Fiku (Purple Haze) and Albert Bell (Nomad Son, Forsaken)

The gig will be taking place at V-Gen in Paceville and doors open 9pm.

To reserve a spot send and SMS/email to 79835311 or Email: oweng82@gmail.com for an entrance fee of €5 instead of €7
