Hard Rock Cafe Malta has announced its summer program for the highly anticipate­d football games season and their partnershi­p with Budweiser, an official FIFA World Cup sponsor.

All Hard Rock locations in Malta in Bay Street Complex, Valletta Waterfront and at the Malta Internatio­nal Airport – Departures Lounge will be screening all football games Live ‘n’ Load with half-time entertainm­ent, live DJs and giveaways while you can prevail yourself from a Legendary Burger or munch a Jumbo Combo by the bar till the early hours.

Since 1971, Hard Rock has been committed to a wide range of philanthro­pic causes and activities around the World.

Thru these games Hard Rock will be collaborat­ing with the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector and raise funds in aid of ‘Moviment Missjunarj­u Gesu fil Proxxmu’ and their latest project in Nossa Senhroa das Gracas , Sao Luis, Brazil.

Hard Rock`s passionate and dedicated team members will be asking fans to round up their bill to the nearest euro amount or more. Hundred-percent of your donation will benefit this project and Hard Rock made available an additional fifteen-percent from the sale of a limited edition, Brazilian themed, Hard Rock tee shirt available at their stores.

The Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector, whose objectives are amongst others to stimulate co-operation and networking amongst voluntary organisati­ons as well as with the private companies in order to support, develop and promote the interests and work of all voluntary organizati­ons in Malta & Gozo, is supporting this initiative. Mr. Mauro Pace Parascanda­lo, Executive Secretary, explained how a call for potential projects was issued by MCVS earlier this year where several project proposals were received. The project chosen was that of Moviment Missjunarj­u Gesu fil-Proxxmu, which met most the set criteria.

Fr George Grima from Moviment Missjunarj­u Gesu fil-Proxxmu explained that in the city of Sao Luis in Brazil still have numerous cases of leprosy. The city hosts a specialize­d hospital however families of these patient need attention and the movement harbors young kids in their crèche ‘Creche Nossa Senhora das Gracas. The crèche was built some years ago but with the ever increasing need to welcome more kids they have decided to act quickly and build another class. They already managed to raise 35% of the amount needed, but it’s still a long way from being fully-financed.
