Arti fil-Beraħ at Marsascala
The Cultural Committee, under the auspices of the Marsascala Local Council, will be organising a cultural activity Arti fil-Beraħ on Saturday, 28 and Sunday, 29 June.
The activity, which will consist of an open air exhibition of various hand-made crafts, will display 36 different types of exhibits. The exhibits will be varied including statue-making in wood and stone, clay, ceramics, filigree, necklaces, painting and lace-making. Spectators, besides watching the exhibitors execute their crafts, will also be given the opportunity of trying their hand at various crafts. This activity will held from 6pm onwards along the promenade at Marina Street.
Children will also be invited to try and master the art of painting, collage-making and drawing.
To be more holistic, clients from St Vincent de Paule Residence, will also exhibit their handmade crafts.
With the co-operation of the Chinese Cultural Centre, the Organising Committee will present China Town and information about Chinese Martial Arts, Medicine and Crafts. One can also taste Chinese food.
On Sunday an exhibiton of motorcycles will start from St Thomas Tower on to the Promenade at 10am. In the afternoon, jet ski enthusiasts can enjoy a spectacle at St Thomas Bay from 2.30pm onwards
