-

Air Malta’s employees were the winners of the first volleyball tournament organised by the Malta Employees Sports Association (MESA).

Six teams took part namely Air Malta, University of Malta, Central Bank, Mater Dei Hospital and two teams from the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM).

“We’d like to congratulate Air Malta for being the first team to win this tournament, and also thank all the teams who partici- pated, without which the tournament would not have taken place,” said MESA secretary, Mario Saliba.

“It’s been a really fun ride for us, especially in terms of teambuilding and meeting employees from other companies. It’s always nice to get to know your colleagues after a whole day in the same office. And winning the tournament brought us even closer,” said Air Malta’s team captain, first officer Josef Pirotta.

The games were played at the Sports Complex in Ħal-Kirkop, with the collaboration of the Malta Sports Council.
