GlobalCapital appoints chief executive officer
GlobalCapital this week announced the appointment of Reuben Zammit as its chief Executive Officer.
Mr Zammit is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and has been part of GlobalCapital plc since 2008. Throughout this time he has held key positions within the company with the most recent being chief financial officer. His career spans more than 15 years in progressively senior positions within the industry.
In his new role, Mr Zammit will lead GlobalCapital’s diversified activities and will ensure the implementation of the company’s plan for the rationalisation of core competencies and reduction in costs across the business activities and processes in order to ensure a return to profitability, increase shareholder value and strengthen the company’s future growth. His previous role in GlobalCapital makes him well-positioned to undertake the necessary changes within the company.
Mr Zammit stated: “GlobalCapital’s business is diverse with each activity presenting its own challenges, particularly when one bears in mind that these activities are highly regulated. The Board of Directors have given me clear instructions to take all the necessary steps to ensure that we are well positioned to address the constant change within our industry while returning to profitability. I believe that the company has the necessary expertise and resources to implement and achieve the strategy set by the Board”.
