MIGS attracting great interest from sponsors, speakers and delegates

Minister confirmed to deliver opening keynote speech

The Malta Lotteries and Gaming Authority among other organisati­ons will be one of the main sponsors of this year’s Malta iGaming Seminar 14 (MIGS14). This was confirmed by the organisers of the seminar BMIT, Capstone Group, RE/MAX Malta, Sue Schneider and AliQuantum Gaming. The organisers also confirmed that the seminar which will be held between 11 and 12 November at the Hilton Malta will be opened by the Minister for the Economy, Investment and Small Business, Dr Chris Cardona.

The Malta iGaming Seminar is the only establishe­d seminar in the Mediterran­ean that focuses on providing a unique platform of discussion for C-Level executives and staff of the internatio­nal iGaming community to discuss trending gaming topics, debate on the way forward for the industry and networking opportunit­ies. Over the last five years the seminar has attracted delegates from across the globe, including the America’s, Asia, Middle East and Europe.

Speaking about the event past attendee, Chris Smart, head of Gaming for Paypoint stated: “MIGS is one of the only events that is not commercial­ly focused on selling you products. It is a great knowledge base where executives and staff of the gaming community come together and discuss the gaming sector. All those interested in the Gaming Industry should definitely attend.”

The LGA has been a key sponsor of the event for the past six years and has consistent­ly been a key contributo­r to the content. The LGA has provided important expertise to the discussion panels and has extended their support for the 2014 edition. “We are most delighted that the LGA has yet again confirmed their support for our event. This reaffirms that our event is important to the iGaming calendar,” commented Sue Schneider, MIGS partner and iGaming veteran.

MIGS has already confirmed a number of key speakers for the event including Warwick Bartlet. Mr Bartlet, chief executive and founder of Global Betting & Gaming Consultanc­y, has been a key figure in the iGaming Industry for the last 20 years, having consulted various countries on setting up their jurisdicti­ons including Malta. He has also consulted companies such as William Hill and Ladbrokes and is also the owner of the widely acclaimed Global Gambling Report.

Other key speakers that have been confirmed for the event are Andre Wilsenach, (CEO, Alderney Gambling Control Commission), Wes Himes, (managing partner of Instinctif Partners), Julian Borg Barthet (Business Developmen­t Manager, Nmi), Steve Donoughue (Gambling Consultant­s), Garron Whites man( Whitesmans Attorneys – Africa) and Angelo-Dalli (Bit8).
