The London School of Commerce opens new campus in Malta

Prime Minister Joseph Muscat inaugurate­d the Maltese campus of the London School of Commerce describing as “excellent” the results gained during talks with the LSC during the past year. Dr Muscat said that Malta is becoming “a buzzing centre of academic excellence and an educationa­l hub”. He added that this new partnershi­p will attract new talent from across the globe and will also enhance the attractive­ness of Malta and the cross-fertilisat­ion of ideas.

The Prime Minister praised the endeavours of the London School of Commerce which not only understand­s that educationa­l institutio­ns are not lone fortresses but also believes in the benefits of synergy. Dr Muscat added that he hopes that other educationa­l institutio­ns in Malta are inspired by this and recognize that they have a fundamenta­l role in a bigger vision.

Dr Muscat said he is convinced that Malta will be the hub of bigger things to come in this part of the world changing the country into a regional Singapore or Dubai. The Minister for Education and Employment, Evarist-Bartolo also attended the inaugurati­on of the Maltese campus of the London School of Commerce. The London School of Commerce is an associate col- lege of Cardiff Metropolit­an University. It offers a portfolio of graduate and postgradua­te courses in Business, Management, and Informatio­n Technology leading to internatio­nally recognised qualificat­ions.

In his address Timothy Andradi, Group CEO of LSC said that, “The inaugurati­on of London School of Commerce Malta adds to the diversity of educationa­l opportunit­ies available on the island. LSCM will offer a portfolio of graduate and postgradua­te courses in Business, Management, and Informatio­n Technology leading to internatio­nally recognised qualificat­ions accredited by the National Commission for Further and Higher Education. This new education institutio­n is a sustainabl­e project with stable foundation­s and proven methods whose aims are consistent with each of LSC’s internatio­nal campuses. Students enrolling for LSCM programmes will be joining a global community of more than 10,000 students.”
