Corinthia Palace’s Perfect Mother’s Day Gift Fair raises €2,675 for Beyond the Moon
● Hotel has raised €4,090 since the start of 2015
Another sick child and their family will now have the opportunity to enjoy the holiday of a lifetime, thanks to recent fundraising efforts at the Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa, in Attard.
Since the start of 2015, the Hotel has raised over €4,000 through various initiatives, namely from the sale of some balcony furniture, an in-house weight loss challenge, the Easter Treasure Hunt and the recent Perfect Mother’s Day Gift Fair.
“It is fantastic to know that the money raised will make a tangible difference to the life of a seriously-ill child,” says Marisa Xuereb, who coordinates the Hotel’s fundraising efforts. “The whole team pulled together to raise this money and Beyond the Moon is very grateful for their input. We will now be concen- trating on raising even more money in the second half of the year.”
The annual Perfect Mother’s Day Gift Fair was a resounding success, with hundreds of people visiting the Hotel on 1 May to enjoy the various attractions on offer. Entertainment was provided all day, while a variety of stalls were set up selling everything from hand-made jewellery to designer fragrances.
In addition, the Hotel’s kitchen brigade created a menu of spring-themed treats for the day, including seasonal salads, smoothies, fresh strawberry and lemonade, and Eton mess with champagne jelly. Aspects of the menu were chosen from the Hotel’s popular alfresco Summer Kitchen restaurant, which will open its doors for the 2015 summer season on 15 May.
