Maltese Bartenders Guild National Cocktail Competition next month

The Maltese Bartenders Guild organises a yearly National Cocktail Competition before every summer, during which some of the best bartenders in Malta compete for the National Title whilst some other sponsored prizes are given according to the category.

The competition’s winner will eventually represent Malta in the World Cocktail Competition organised by the International Bartenders Association (IBA). This year the WCC 2015 will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria, between 10 and 15 October.

Participants for the Preliminaries for the WCC need to be members of the MBG and need to be employed, on part-time or fulltime basis, in any sector of the catering industry. This year the Competition will take place on 16 June at Melita Gardens, Attard. Many of the main beverage importers on the Island including Finest Call, FBIC Ltd, P. Cutajar Ltd, Charles Grech Ltd, Paul Bonnici & Sons Ltd and Demajo Ltd will be sponsoring the event and some of the most influential people in the industry will be forming part of the Technical and Tasting Jury.

Anyone interested in attending to the event is more than welcome to join us at the Melita Gardens on 16 June at 11am. Entrance is free of charge.
