San Giljan beat Sliema to confirm second place

San Giljan Allcare Insurance confirmed second place in the BOV Winter League table when they beat Sliema Frank salt for the second team this season, this time 8-5.
Sliema won the first session 3-1 after having gone behind to a Matthew Zammit goal but Soler, Gabaretta and Spiteri Staines reacted well. The saints came back in the third session making it 33 through Matthew and Dino Zammit but Soler made it 4-3 to Sliema at the halfway point.
However San Giljan ran riot in the third session scoring four times without reply through Dino and Matthew Zammit and Paul Fava to take a three goal lead into the final session. This ended 1-1 with San Giljan easily nursing their advantage for a fine victory and second place in the Winter League standings.

Sirens Ritter Sport and Valletta McDonalds played out a tight match with the placings in the Winter League already decided. The first session was a close affair ending 2-2 while the second saw Sirens sahde it 3-2 to maintain a one goal advantage at the midway point. Michael Cordina, zak Mizzi and Edward Aquilina were the main scorers.
Sirens won the third session 32 with Aquilina, Pace and Sammut scoring while Valletta replied through Andrea Agius and Charlie Zammit. Valletta managed to get back level with two goals from Ryan Mock in the last session with the final 77 scoreline a fair result.
