The MFA President also identified the restructuring of the National Stadium as the next phase after the pitch project so as to conform with all the European clubs that are modernising theit grounds.

Among other things, Darmanin Demajo talked also about the Premier League trophy and the national team as the President believes that the level of Maltese football will rise if there are 20 full time professional players.
Darmanin Demajo thanked all those that believed and gave him his vote six years ago, and also those who after who gave him another term. The President confirmed that this will be his last term as President as he said that a time comes when new blood and motivation need to enter the association.
A clear message was the direction that the President’s speech took, as he reitarated that he is in football to serve the clubs and the association and said that he was representing the delegates and that Maltese football was not his, but closed with three important words that are fundamental for him, honesty, integrity, and transperency
