APS Bank customers may now benefit from an added layer of safety and security when using their APS VISA debit card for online purchases.

This is a result of APS Bank’s adoption of the 3D Secure System in collaboration with VISATM. 3D Secure is a set of security standards implemented worldwide with the aim of protecting both buyers and merchants against online fraud.

By requiring its users to confirm their identity, the 3D Secure System reduces the possibility of cards misuse. The system also comes with various other advantages, including the facilitation of international transactions due to a wider pool of merchants that accept these secure transactions, as well as server security by way of SSL encryption.
