Suspended players and officials granted amnesty by MFA president
The president of the Malta Football Association, Norman Darmanin Demajo, as per Statute Article 90 (i), last Thurs-day during the MFA Council meeting, proposed the granting of an amnesty to all players and officials with a pending sus-pension for a specified number of matches originating from all competitions organized by the Malte FA and all of its member associations from a decision of the Disciplinary Commissioner as at 4 August 2016. His proposal was approved by the Council and thus the list of suspensions was cleared. Removals from the associa-tion, period suspension, dop-ing suspensions and bribery/corruption suspen-sions do not fall within the amnesty. Among those benefiting from the amnesty is St Andrew's coach Jose Borg, who was suspended for 10 matches.
