MCAST and iAS to collaborate

MCAST and iAS have signed a collaborative agreement aimed at strengthening the existing good relationship between the local construction industry and MCAST. The agreement was signed at MCAST, Paola.

iAS is a leading design, civil engineering and project management services firm with extensive industry experience in the construction sector in Malta and abroad.

This partnership will contribute significantly to address the labour supply and skill sets needs of the construction industry as well as address the skills gap within the workforce employed in this important sector.

The parties shall collaborate to identify the direction of the de- velopment of the construction industry in Malta, to strategize and address the developing skill set needs expected of this developing construction industry; to assist in the development of an updated training programme that addresses the skills gaps identified within the construction industry, to assist in offering MCAST students apprenticeship opportunities within the sector and to assist in developing guidance proposals to motivate students to consider a career in the construction industry.

The official signing of the MoU was signed by Dr Silvio De Bono, president MCAST Board of Governors and Perit Peter Zammit, iAS managing director.
