IGaming Idol charity event reaches its goal

-

iGaming Idol confirms that, at a charity event organised at the San Anton Palace, Attard, they raised a substantial amount of money as part of their target to donate a minimum of €10,000 to the Malta Community Chest Fund.

The MCCF, under the direction of The President of Malta, tackle the underlying causes of poverty and social injustice, in order to deliver lasting change in the lives of poor and vulnerable people on the island. They also support cancer care, helping communities build back safer and stronger tides for the future.

iGaming Idol organisers were committed to increasing their donation at their second edition, being held at Hilton Malta on 26 September and sought out the business community to offer complimentary items to be won by auction or through a raffle.

Thanks goes to Exante who donated a Sunseeker yacht charter, Hilton Malta and Hugos Boutique Hotel, Marvin Gauci and Cleland and Souchet – all worthy participants assisting in this quest.

iGaming Idol is the first awards event that recognises outstanding talent within the iGaming industry. It was founded on two other pillars – providing a glamorous evening of entertainment and making an equally important donation to charity.

It seems certain that the 2017 edition will reach and supersede its expected €10,000 donation. Charity ambassador for iGaming Idol, Patrick O’Brien, said: “It is a great initiative that an event organiser within the iGaming industry has taken up the corporate social responsibility of raising funds for such a great cause as the MCCF. I am proud and honoured to be their ambassador.”
