#Gustizzija: civil society protests move to Sliema today

The Civil Society Network’s second national “#Ġustizzija” demonstrat­ion being held in Sliema today will be addressed be addressed by Jacques Rene Zammit, Jurgen Balzan, Andrew Borg Cardona, Claudia Taylor East and Josef Vella.

The demonstrat­ion will take place today at 4pm at Ghar idDud/Chalet Sliema, from where demonstrat­ors will march to Amery Street Sliema, close to where Daphne Caruana Galizia was brought up.

The Civil Society Network insisted, once again, on its non-partisan demands for the resignatio­n of the Police Commission­er and Attorney General, and for their replacemen­ts subject to twothirds parliament­ary majority. Civil Society Network is also insisting for constituti­onal reform.

People are also invited to bring percussion and whistles, as well as bay leaves which are a symbol of strength and courage.

The following message can be seen under the timer: “Since Daphne’s brutal murder on the 16th of October 2017 at 15:00, the Police Commission­er and the Attorney General have not resigned, nor have they been replaced by substitute­s elected by two thirds of Parliament, as was requested by Civil Society Network. The people are waiting.”
