Alleanza Bidla joins ECPM

On Thursday 7 December, the 15th General Assembly of the European Christian Political Movement (ECPM), took place in the European Parliament in Brussels.

Several new members were welcomed during the General Assembly including Alleanza Bidla Party.

Ivan Grech Mintoff introduced the member party and expressed his pleasure of being part of ECPM.

He presented the situation in Malta, especially the destabilizing political situation in Libya that is affecting Malta to a great extent. Alleanza Bidla is working actively to solve Libyan instability and to address the problems between Malta and Libya.

“ECPM is the only European political party whose aim is to reflect and work on Christian-democratic politics and lines in Europe from an explicitly Christian-social point of view and this fits perfectly with Alleanza’s wish to re-introduce and represent such much needed values in Maltese politics,” he stated.

During their two-day visit to the European Parliament, the Maltese delegation also took part in the 20th European Prayer Breakfast which included prime ministers, ministers, members of the House of Lords, MEPS and other distinguished guests that also included ministers and other members of the Israeli Knesset.

The delegation also took part in several conferences.
