Chetcuti Cauchi employees in team-building video challenge
For the fifth year running, European law firm Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates held a cross-company team-building event involving its 200-strong workforce. The different teams went to Birgu, Mdina, Marsaxlokk, Bugibba and Qawra to shoot a video using the beauty of Malta as a backdrop. In search for the best locations and with two hours for filming and an hour for editing, the teams also directed, scripted and executed their video production.
Taking advantage of the lovely sites and armed with a variety of weird props, the teams put heads (and sometimes feet) together to come up with some original film gems! Competition among the teams was intense, as they gave it their all, at times with some eccentric acting involved. The energetic activities were followed by well-deserved food, drink, rest and banter at different eateries around the island.
The aim of the yearly team building is to strengthen relationships fostered in the office and give staff an opportunity to network, interact away from their professional sphere and get to know each other that little bit better. The team at Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates has people from different professional backgrounds and nationalities, brought together by the unifying mission and values of the firm.
“As a customer-centric firm that prides itself on exceptional personal client service, we know that our brand is only as good as our people,” said Christopher Meli, Chief Human Resources Officer at Chetcuti Cauchi Advocates. “Our dedicated team works nonstop to provide a service like no other. One way of reinforcing our bonds to remain a winning team is by coming together to sharpen our soft skills in a fun way. Communication is crucial to any well-functioning office, and team-building events are a great way to practise active listening, interpretation and response. They also help us boost our determination to accomplish common goals.”
