Second edition of Sax under the Stars

The second edition of ‘Sax under the Stars’ was recently held at the salt pans in Xwejni, limits of Zebbug, Gozo. This event was meticulous­ly organised by Abraham’s.

This year the salt pans were all covered in white as all table décor and even the dress code were strictly white. The Big Band Brothers entertaine­d all those present with their rhythmic music which after dinner made many of those present danced the night away.

The evening started off with 10 mouth-watering canapés including items like Beignet of Veal Sweetbread­s with rosemary & onion cream, Parmesan Aged Risotto and Steamed Pork Bao Buns. The canapés were accompanie­d by 2017 Sunny Bay, Côtes de Provence.

At sunset all guests were seated and dinner started to be served. All food was prepared by Abraham’s Chef, George Borg and his team. Wine Consultant, Fabien Etienne, paired the food with wines from France and Sicily namely, 2017 Château de Fayolle Bergerac “White”, 2015 Château Mangot Saint-Emillion Grand Cru, 2015 Château La Brand Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux and 2012 Malvasia delle Lipari Passito Cantine Colosi.

Present during dinner were Camille Ducellier, owner of Sunny Bay and Matthieau Blanvillia­n, Responsibl­e for Diva Bordeaux Worldwide.
