No stopping Valletta’s goal machine

On 14 minutes Mosta had a glorious chance when Falou was put through and beat the offside trap but his effort was brilliantly blocked by Cini. On the other end Piciollo passed towards Nwoko whose scorcher was somehow blocked by a defender.
On 18 minutes a Zachary Brincat effort missed the crossbar by a whisker with Cini completely helpless. Piciollo had another good run on the left with Nwoko however failing to connect in front of goal.
On 27 minutes Mosta went close with a Sammartino run on the left with Brincat nipping in and anticipating Cini but his shot just missed the base of the upright. On 33 minutes Cini failed to grasp a Sammartino cross but Cisotti failed to take advantage.
Six minutes from the break Valletta took the lead with a well-executed move on the right with Alba passing towards Pena Beltre whose low pass was met by Fontanella who shot low into the net.
Just before the break Valletta doubled the score. Fontanella started the break but Miguel Angel Alba continued the run and drilled the ball low into the net.
The second half started with Falou Samb just missing the upright and on the other end Mario Fontanella had two attempts just missing the upright.
On 54 minutes Cini made a great save off a Hirose shot from a distance and 60 seconds later Mosta were unlucky when a Zachary Brincat shot finished against the woodwork.
Gavrila came in for Nwoko and immediately tested goalkeeper Vella. On 74 minutes Fontanella was tripped by De Cerchio when about to shoot home and from the penalty spot Matteo Piciollo made no mistake.
Four minutes later Miguel Angel Alba scored a gem from a distance for Valletta’s fourth goal. Five minutes from time Valletta scored again with Bogdan Gavrila firing home following a Fontanella header.
