Andrew Manduca appointed Chairman of Mizzi Organisati­on

Andrew Manduca has been appointed Chairman of Mizzi Organisati­on as of 1st November. Mr Manduca will be succeeding Dr John C. Grech, who has held the office for the past 21 years.

Andrew Manduca was the founder partner in 1980 of a small Maltese accounting firm that went on to become the member firm of Deloitte in 1989. He was responsibl­e for setting up the Tax Department, which he led until 2012. He retired as Chairman and Senior Partner of Deloitte Malta in December 2015.

Mr Manduca is a Certified Public Accountant and a Fellow of the Chartered Associatio­n of Certified Accountant­s (UK). He is a former President of the Malta Institute of Accountant­s, a former President of the Institute of Financial Services Practition­ers and a former member of the Board of Governors of Finance Malta. He was also the first President of the Malta Branch of the IFA (Internatio­nal Fiscal Associatio­n). He is the original author of the IBFD publicatio­n on Malta as a Holding Company jurisdicti­on. He also holds directorsh­ips at a credit institutio­n licensed under the Banking Act, as well as at two licensed insurance companies.
