Chelsea back in hunt for Higuain
Chelsea are still showing interest in signing Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain, with Alvaro Morata potentially loaned to Milan and €36m paid to Juventus.
Milan took Higuain on loan for €18m with option to buy for another €36m to be paid at the end of the season.
However, with his poor form and Financial Fair Play problems, the Rossoneri are reconsidering the costly deal.
According to some newspapers, Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri still has his heart set on a reunion with his ex-Napoli hitman Higuain.
The move could be possible this month if Chelsea offer to loan misfiring Morata to Milan, then pay the outstanding €36m for Higuain to Juventus.
If the deal is done this month, the cost of the Higuain loan would be reduced to €9m.
Sportitalia claim a meeting between Chelsea and Juve is planned for this week to discuss the situation.
It is also understood that the Stamford Bridge side approached Paris Saint-Germain for Edinson Cavani, but this was just a request for information more than a genuine negotiation.
