MBR Publications Ltd’s Malta’s Best Entrepreneur of the Year Awards 2019, including Malta’s Best-in-Business Awards, Malta’s Gaming Excellence Awards, Malta’s Best Hairdressing Awards of The Year and The Malta International Boats & Yachting Awards, are Malta’s only internationally accredited, all-encompassing business awards programmes.

Many organisations and individuals from the best – and most influential – of Malta’s business clusters, including banking, finance, real estate, hospitality, industry, manufacturing, importing & distribution, ICT, gaming, maritime, aviation, F&B, commercial, industrial and other sectors have all participated in past editions, with some also entering two or three times!

The success of these awards are mainly attributable to the fact that MBR Publications Ltd was the pioneer in creating and establishing such prestigious and internationally-recognised award programmes – the only ones audited by an independent auditing company.

Furthermore, the company has a selection board of directors managing and evaluating nominees, with a completely transparent voting system, whereby the judges have two score cards that are signed and viewed even after the awards are over and which are also made available online on the MBR website. No other award event in Malta has this type of transparent voting structure.

MBR Publications Ltd is also the only company in Malta with overseas affiliation. Its awards are also the largest awards organised locally and have gone on record with 600+ guests during one final gala award ceremony. The awards are also recognised by HE the President of Malta, as well by the European Business Network. Among previous winners are more than 230 companies and individuals from 24 European countries that have prevailed over the competition. This high number of international winners is evidence of the great performance of Maltese, EU companies and managers, and simply makes the awards the best in Malta. Among them are renowned companies and individuals – too many to mention in full – but some that come to mind are Prof. Edward de Bono, Equiom Group CEO Sheila Dean, Chev. Maurice Mizzi and Perit Edwin Mintoff – and participants such as AX Holdings, Bonnici Group, AAT Research, Vodafone, MAPFRE Middlesea plc, RE/MAX, Betsson Group, Netrefer, Design Hub Malta Credorax, STM Malta Trust & Company Management Ltd, Dakar Software Systems, Nilara Fashion, Corporate Solutions, BELS and Ta’ Frenc Restaurant, and many others.

These awards are also the only registered and trademark awards created locally under the Trademark Act 2000 and each year have seen phenomenal growth. In fact, the galas have tripled in size and the company has gone from strength to strength, setting new standard benchmarks for industry award events – a model that may be copied, but never re-created.

“This type of event requires longterm planning and dedicated organisation by genuine people who have a passion for organising such awards. Those attending are supporting industry and the local community in a major way, since these events are all about the recognition of outstanding companies, individuals and also reward role model employees within the local business community their due importance and significance,” said Martin Vella, the organiser of these successful events. “Supporting charity and giving back to the community is one of the pillars we founded when we established these awards, over eight years ago, and we are proud to have donated more than €70,000 to different charities, including Puttinu Cares and the Malta Community Chest Fund,” he said.

Managing Partner Margaret Brincat added: “Since inception, we have always had a major CSR objective and have worked incessantly behind the scenes to ensure that this noble aim is achieved. Our company has always been at the forefront of such award programmes and we have been the only pioneers in the local business environment to create such events, with a pedigree extending over 10 years of continued commitment, effort and enthusiasm.

“We were truly the first company that came up with the first gala award show in the entire industry to recognise and reward individuals and organisations on merit, including corporate companies and/or projects, and also the first to create comprehensive categories covering most sectors of business and management operation.

“We were the first to create entrepreneur awards and the first to engage and promote good governance, best practice and best work ethics. We were also the first award show to encompass all the business clusters, with nominees having to prove themselves before a Panel of Judges, with a set of professional established criteria and also the first to come up with a transparent voting system.

“MBR Publications Ltd was also the first to create awards in which only employees based in Malta could participate, and we are also the first – and only – company to organise award shows and programmes of this type for over 10 years now. All our events are organised locally – from A-Z – by a Maltese-owned and registered company and Malta-based shareholders. No other company can boast or claim otherwise, because the majority of other companies are supported by grants and financial assistance provided by thirdparty Government entities, or have roped-in foreigners to organise and manage their events, since they do not have the competent organisational structures to do just that!” Miss Brincat concluded.

MBR Publications Ltd offers the most competitive prices for organising business or private events and parties or product launches, including catering, entertainment, videography and photography services, and are acclaimed through testimonials from various companies that have used their services in the past.

The company has just launched its new social media platforms, fb page and new revamped website, in collaboration with Google Partners webidoo.

“We have worked hard to provide the best, latest media platforms such as mailshot news blasts to over 80,000 GDPRS-compliant

“Registration is on fire, with just over five weeks to go. The final gala evening is expected to attract over 350 distinguished guests, nominees and sponsors and is a recognised platform for superb networking, apart from the unique and fantastic entertainment the company is renowned for providing – this year we will have Flyboard’s spectacular show (Zapata) as the main attraction,” he revealed.
