Malta’s Best Hairdressing Awards’ & Barber Awards 2019

Next Thursday, 21 November Malta’s Best Hairdressing Awards’ & Barber Awards 2019 will be closing the participation of its first edition.

In its first year, participation has registered a high number, with a 20% growth in the number of collections presented each week. Hairdressers and barbers from 41 entries have entered to participate with their photographic work in the various categories, exactly 20 categories, with Malta’s Best Barber Collection and Malta’s Best AvantGarde Collection most notable. In addition, the hairdressers and artistic teams that had been shortlisted to participate in the categories of Malta’s Best Hairdressing Awards’ & Barber Awards 2019 were invited to submit their applications, consisting of a photographic collection and a dossier summarizing their professional career in the last year.

Martin Vella, director, founder and organiser, has shown his satisfaction with the awesome participation: "We are so pleased with this year’s participation figures, considering we have only launched this competition’s three months ago following much research, preparation and planning. In addition, we are very proud that the Malta's most recognized hairdressers are entering these prestigious and accredited Awards. The quality level of the participating collections is extremely high!"

Now, once the participation is closed, the voting rounds will start, with a jury composed of five of the most outstanding names of the local Maltese hairdressing industry: Antonio Camilleri, Owner of Antonio’s Barber Shop, Gordon Mayo, CEO Toni&Guy, Alexander Carabott, Technical Director L’Oreal Malta, Sam Cutajar, Sales & Marketing Director of Joseph Brincat Ltd (Wella), Gianluca Giuliano, Managing DirectorSens.us Malta.

The finalists of the first edition of Malta’s Best Hairdressing Awards’ & Barber Awards 2019 will be announced on November 6th at the Laguna Hall, SmartCity during a lavish gala dinner and award ceremony, combining with Malta’s Best-inBusiness Awards 2019 with worldwide streaming broadcast. The award ceremony hosted by compere Colin Fitz will be providing a glittering show: the catwalk with some of the most important teams participating, the fabulous red carpet of global hairdressing, and a Hollywoodstyle awards ceremony with all the glamour that this industry deserves. Celebrated music producer and DJ Joseph Armani will be taking care of all the musical presentations for the night, which will also see illusionist and magician par excellence Brian Role’ entertaining guests with unbelievable breathtaking tricks and chimeras.
