Paul Zammit is new Malta Handball Association President
Last week the Malta Handball Association held its annual general meeting. On it’s 25th Anniversary, MHA, bows down in appreciation and gratitude former Founder and President Mr. Louis Borg as he steps down from the role of President.
Mr. Paul Zammit was elected, unanimously as the new MHA president for the next 4 years.
Mr. Zammit, although coming from the football camp, brings a great amount of experience in sport administration both at senior and youth level.
Over the past years he served as President of Melita Football Club and held posts in various Malta Football Association boards and the Youth FA.
Without any need of introduction to the Maltese Handball community, Mr. Ian Psaila was elected as Vice President.
Ian Psaila has been active in the handball scene since 1999 first as a player with La Salle Handball Club, then as coach seeing him win in all major local competitions. Later, within the National Team sector, Ian was assistant coach for the male senior national team and most recently a National Team coach of the Beach Handball Team.
Both Paul and Ian would like to thank Mr. Louis Borg now Honorary President of the Malta Handball association, Mr. Andrew Decelis and the many other people who where involved in Handball and kept it going for the last 25 years.
The Association now aims to build on that in place, and plans to push the game to higher levels whilst attracting new youngsters to the fast paced and fun game of Handball.
