A Gallup poll in 2009 discovered that 65% of people who leave a job, do so because of their manager, not because of the work of the organisation. This makes one think on the efficacy of several managerial roles and how these, when badly managed, greatly impact the well-being and performance of any company or institution involved.

This is where Strategic Coaching can step in. Strategic coaches gain professional and personal satisfaction by helping people develop and achieve their goals. Coaching can be applied to any area where one needs to develop people’s skills, relationships or communication.

Where coaching can help

Here are a few examples of questions that coaches help answer:

How can I manage my time better to achieve all I want in life?

What should I do next in my career within the organisation?

How can I reduce the stress in my job or in my life?

How can I achieve a better balance between work life and home life?

What skills do I need to grow and develop further?

How can I improve my relationship with a specific colleague?

Strategic coaching builds effective relationships

The life-enhancing benefits of being a coach can have a huge impact on one’s professional and personal life. Working as a Strategic Coach gives clarity and a real sense of purpose. This in turn can create a strong sense of self-confidence, happiness and career satisfaction. Engaging others through strategic coaching strengthens personal and professional relationships in all aspects of life.

Throughout the strategic coaching process, coaches make fundamental and meaningful connections with those they are supporting, and they share a sense of accomplishment and success as an outcome of a joint effort. These relationship benefits often transcend age, groups, hierarchies and organisational culture.

Strategic coaching expands your professional network and skills

Whether you choose to set up your own practice or run your own company, work for an organisation or with parents and families, success as a strategic coach lies within your ability to develop personal and professional networks. These networks quickly widen and provide numerous opportunities to engage your potential clients. With the use of social media, the possibilities to provide expert commentary and connect with even larger groups are immense. Trainees, who successfully complete the Strategic Coaching programme, can apply to work alongside us at The Coaching
