Eight new cases, as 19 patients recover

Eight new Covid-19 cases were registered on Saturday, while 19 patients have recovered, health authorities said.

Ten patients remain in hospital, down from 11 on Friday, with one in intensive care.

The number of active cases has dropped slightly to 279, while the number of deaths remains at 459.

The authorities said that 850,536 vaccination doses have been administered.

Malta has had 37,447 cases of the virus, with 36,300 patients who recovered.

The last time Malta had single digit daily cases was on 29 September, with eight new cases.
