Circulation of European Literary Works
The Circulation of European Literary Works, which is Creative Europe’s action supporting the European Cultural and Creative Book Sector, will support projects of translations, publishing, distribution and promotion of work of fiction. The deadline is approaching as it is on 31 May at 5pm and the Creative Europe Desk Malta already organised an info session on 18 April at the Bibliotheca in Valletta.
This action will help in strengthening the transnational circulation and diversity of European literary works, in encouraging the translation and promotion of works in lesser-used languages to increase their circulation and enlarge their markets, in reaching new audiences for European literary works in Europe and beyond, and in strengthening the competitiveness of the book sector by encouraging cooperation within the book value chain.
Around 40 projects from all over Europe are expected to benefit from this action which will include the translation and promotion of a package of at least five eligible works of fiction and encouraging collaboration between authors, translators, publishers, distributors, booksellers’ libraries and festival events. The funding ranges from €100,000 to €300,000 with a maximum co-funding rate of 60%.
Applicants must be legal entities established and officially registered in an eligible country and be active in the publishing and book sector. Applicants must have had a legal existence for at least two years on the date of the deadline for submission of applications.
