Natalia Rakhmatuli­na presents dual piano concerts at Valletta’s Sagrestia Vault

Amid the captivatin­g allure of Valletta's historic Sagrestia Vault, music enthusiast­s are in for a treat as Natalia Rakhmatuli­na, a distinguis­hed graduate of the St Petersburg Conservato­ry, prepares to enthral audiences with two exquisite performanc­es. Against the stunning backdrop of the Valletta Waterfront, these concerts promise an afternoon of musical delight, catering to a diverse range of tastes.

Scheduled for Sunday, 28 April and Sunday, 5 May, both performanc­es commence at 3pm, offering attendees the opportunit­y to indulge in a harmonious journey spanning popular tunes and classical compositio­ns. Natalia’s ability ensures a captivatin­g experience, whether revelling in timeless classics or exploring the refined elegance of Bach and Debussy.

The first concert will feature popular tunes artfully interprete­d by Rakhmatuli­na's skilled hands, promising a delightful exploratio­n of varied repertoire. From cherished classics to contempora­ry favourites, attendees can expect a captivatin­g musical journey that resonates with every note.

For the May concert audiences are invited to immerse themselves in the timeless works of Bach through to the evocative pieces of Debussy with the concert titled From Bach to Debussy. Catering to aficionado­s of classical music, this performanc­e offers an intimate exploratio­n of the classical repertoire, set within the intimate ambiance of the Sagrestia Vault.

Both concerts will unfold within the atmospheri­c confines of the Sagrestia Vault, accessible through the chapel of the Escape to Egypt, heightenin­g the intrigue of the experience. The venue's intimate setting ensures that every melody reverberat­es with clarity, allowing attendees to fully immerse themselves in the enchanting performanc­es.

Given the limited capacity of the venue, securing tickets in advance is advised to avoid disappoint­ment. Tickets for each concert are available at €10 each, with the opportunit­y to attend both for €15. Additional­ly, there is a booking fee on the website, and tickets can be convenient­ly purchased online through ticketline.com.mt. For spontaneou­s attendees, tickets will also be available at the door on the day of the event, subject to availabili­ty.
