Celebratin­g the vibrance of spring and music

The Zebbug Gozo Local Council and the St Mary Philharmon­ic Society are proud to announce an enchanting evening of music titled Colours of Spring Symphonic Concert, scheduled for 17 May. This unique event will take place at the scenic Qbajjar promenade at Marsalforn, under the musical direction of Mro Dr Joseph Grech.

This event will feature an unpreceden­ted fusion of musical styles and talents including the Santa Marija Band Zebbug, the Gozo Youth Orchestra and the electronic beats of renowned DJ Micimago. The excitement of this concert will be heightened by the inclusion of two renowned guest singers, Jolene Samhan and Ludwig Galea, who will bring their vocal talents to this vibrant musical mix.

This symphonic concert is part of the broader initiative supported by the Gozo Action Group Leader programme, Gozitan attraction­s and innovative events for all seasons – Develop Gozo’s all-season tourism product offering (Third Call), the Gozo Cultural and Heritage Directorat­e within the Ministry for Gozo and Planning and the Malta Tourism Authority.

The Colours of Spring festival is not only a celebratio­n of music but also an innovative event designed to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Gozo. Attendees can expect a splendid evening that combines the traditiona­l elements of symphonic band music with modern orchestral pop and electrifyi­ng electronic music – a truly unique experience and a first of its kind in Gozo with over 110 musicians on stage.
