‘Sette Giugno’ fleet moves port

-

After eight successful editions from its introduction in 2013 – having only its 2020 and 2021 editions cancelled due to the COVID19 pandemic – the Falken Tyres “Sette Giugno” Cruise, organised by the Malta Cruising Club, will this year change its traditional Sicilian end port destination of Pozzallo and move to the Porto Turistico Marina di Ragusa.

It has also been confirmed that a record number of 44 boats will be participating in the event to be held between June 4 and 7.

Following discussions between the club and the Porto Turistico Marina di Ragusa, which now has new owners and a new management team, an attractive package has been secured to create an enjoyable programme for all skippers, crew and their families.

A particular attraction on the visit is a tour of the boat

Maintenance Facilities of Marina di Ragusa called Mediterranean Yacht Yard to get more information on the services provided there.

The new Porto Turistico Marina di Ragusa management have recently appointed the established Maltese shipyard, Bezzina Group, of Marsa, to run this facility.

On this pleasure trip, the Maltese visitors will also visit Tenuta Bastonaca, a very interesting winery and olive oil producing family business in the unspoiled countryside outside Vittoria, following which the group will be hosted to a typical Ragusa lunch at the same vineyard.

On this first year that the Falken Tyres “Sette Giugno” Cruise is using the 700-berth Porto Turistico Marina di Ragusa as the Sicilian end port destination, the management of the marina will be extending to all participants on the cruise their warm welcome and their hospitality for the three nights stay at the marina.

The 51 nautical miles (93 kms) Falken Tyres “Sette Giugno” Cruise is sponsored for the third year running by Falken Tyre Europe, represented in Malta by Standard Limited, of Santa Venera.
