BDO Malta appoints new director of internal audit
BDO Malta has appointed Dhayalaruban (Ruban) Thangaraja as the firm’s new director of internal audit.
Thangaraja is a certified internal auditor with extensive experience in internal auditing, risk management and corporate governance across a number of multicultural environments.
Among his qualifications, he holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in international business and finance from the University of the West of Scotland, as well as a certification from the University of Oxford on leading sustainable corporations. He is also a chartered management accountant and is certified by the Institute of Internal Auditors for risk management assurance.
Prior to leading BDO Malta’s internal audit service line, Thangaraja spent 14 years with ‘Big4’ firms in Malta, Sri Lanka and the Maldives, where he led internal audit and various risk consulting engagements in multiple sectors, including financial services and investments, gaming, hospitality, manufacturing and aviation, among others.
