Cuban com­pany Fru­tas Selectas boasts a longs­tan­ding history of li­fe. With mo­re than 40 years of history, always fa­cing tou­rism, it does not cea­se in the search of how to im­pro­ve and di­ver­sify its of­fer, and it is with this well de­fi­ned ob­jec­ti­ve that they are pre­sen­ted in fairs and events in­si­de and out­si­de Cu­ba.

"As ex­hi­bi­tors, we ha­ve tra­ve­led through im­por­tant na­tio­nal fairs, and sin­ce we were gi­ven the po­wer to ex­port, the­re are eight in­ter­na­tio­nal events in which we ha­ve been pre­sent among fairs, ex­hi­bi­tions and bu­si­ness com­mit­tees. Each one of them has been an im­por­tant trai­ning", says the com­pany's ge­ne­ral ma­na­ger, Juan Car­los Ro­drí­guez Por­tuon­do.

Being the only com­pany from the Mi­nistry of Agri­cul­tu­re in the country aut­ho­ri­zed to supply crui­se ships, half crui­ses, me­ga yachts and com­mer­cial ves­sels, Fru­tas Selectas is al­so wor­king very hard on import subs­ti­tu­tion, and in this sen­se, he tells us which pro­duct he will bring as a no­velty to the next edi­tion of the In­ter­na­tio­nal Tou­rism Fair, FITCu­ba 2020.

The­re, the com­pany will be pro­mo­ting a pro­duct that "we ha­ve been wor­king on for two years: the Ma­ce­do­nian fruit, up un­til now only im­por­ted by ITH for tou­rism and which we are de­ve­lo­ping in our own mi­ni­in­dustry", ex­plains Ro­drí­guez Por­tuon­do.

The num­bers speak for themselves of the suc­cess of this com­pany in terms of growth. In the last ten years, sa­les to tou­rism ha­ve grown stea­dily bet­ween one mi­llion and 1.5 mi­llion CUC on ave­ra­ge per year. "As for ex­ports, we plan to grow this year 2020 by 35% com­pa­red to the pre­vious year, a growth that will be closely lin­ked, as it has been up to now, to pro­gress in qua­lity in all sen­ses, but abo­ve all in the qua­lity of our mar­ke­ting, which is the stra­te­gic ob­jec­ti­ve of the or­ga­ni­za­tion".
