In March 1960, Harry Winston famously moved his salon to 718 Fifth Avenue – into the 18th-century French-style building where he created an atmosphere of alluring luxury. Absolutely everything – from floor to ceiling – was the embodiment of pure, impeccable beauty, just as the jewellery on display there. The 718 Marble Marquetry series – a diamond and sapphire collection of necklaces, earrings and rings – draws inspiration from the black and white marble detailing of Harry Winston’s famed atelier.
