THE CHRISTMAS VILLAGE IN MONACO

06/12/2019 – 05/01/2020 · Port de Monaco, Port Hercule Traditionally, during Christmas and New Year's Eve, Monaco boasts the most gorgeous fairy tale village on the Côte d'Azur, complete with a festive fair, offering a variety of entertainments for children and adults, a Christmas Market, a diverse concert programme, and a host of workshops. On the night of December 31 to January 1, two DJs will be playing here on two stages simultaneously, with the holiday event ending in a massive fireworks display.

(Le Stade Nautique Rainier III) is transformed into a huge 1,000 sqm ice rink for several weeks. Admission to the rink is free. The spectacular Moscow Circus on Ice will be performing here on 21 December 2019.

16/01/2020 – 26/01/2020 · Chapiteau de Fontvieille The most important circus event in the world will be held for 10 days under the big top of the Fontvieille Chapiteau. A diverse range of spectacular circus performers presenting about 30 unique acts will be showcasing their amazing skills and talents. The most prestigious prize – the Golden Clown statuette – will be awarded by the jury for the best circus acts. The festival is held under the personal patronage of H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie of Monaco.

Organized by the Automobile Club of Monaco, The Monte-Carlo Rally starts and finishes in Monaco. Passing over steep and narrow mountain roads with many hairpin turns, the main race route has been changed for the 2020 event and is now 25 percent more challenging. It runs through several departments located in the Alps of Upper Provence and in the Maritime Alps. The winning teams will be awarded at a ceremony to be held on January 26 at Quai Albert 1er.

The makes and models of vehicles that may take part in this event, organized by the Automobile Club of Monaco, must be the same as those that participated in similar racing events held between 1955 and 1980. Covering about 3,000 km in length, this race is a real test of endurance. Competitors may set off from other European cities as well, including Athens, Glasgow, Bad Homburg, Barcelona, and Reims, but they are required to drive the course at a set average speed, pass through all the check points, and cross the finishing line in Monaco. The prizes will be awarded at the Gala Event at Salle des Étoiles Sporting Club, Monte-Carlo.

The circus festival for young artists, organized under the presidency of H.S.H. Princess Stephanie of Monaco, starts immediately after the closing of the International Circus Festival. Junior acts including acrobats, clowns and animals will be competing for the Gold Junior, Silver Junior and Bronze Junior awards. Pauline Ducruet will act as president of the jury.

An annual run through the streets of Monaco, in which everyone can participate. Registration in advance is required. There are several routes for different difficulty levels: the track Route de la Piscine – Quai Albert 1er (1 km) is open to runners from the age of eight, the Herculis track (5 km), the track Monaco Run City Trail (10 km), and the traditional Pink Ribbon Monaco Walk (5 km).
