CUBA TO COOPERATE WITH MONGOLIA IN MEDICINE
Minister of Health B.Tsogtsetseg received Ambassador of Cuba to Mongolia Raul Delgado Concepcion and representatives from the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology of Cuba (CGEB) who have arrived in Ulaanbaatar.
During their meeting, Minister B.Tsogtsetseg emphasized that developing health cooperation between the two countries is of significant importance to adapting innovative technology and new treatments in Mongolia's health sector and the development of biotechnology.
The sides signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between Mongolian Central Hospital and the CGEB to work together on the treatment of coronary disease, hepatitis B, diabetes, acute hemorrhoids, and lung cancer.
Director General of the CGEB Eulogio Pimentel stated that a large percentage of medical equipment and supplies used in Cuba are produced by the CGEB. He underlined that the drug Heberprot-P, which was created by the CGEB, is considered to be the most effective drug in the world for effectively treating diabetic foot ulcers.
