Health Minister promises remuneration for doctors
Minister of Health A.Tsogtsetseg said that special remuneration will be provided to doctors who have saved many lives and those who treat uncommon diseases in Mongolia.
Although it’s unclear when the remuneration will be distributed and how many people will receive it, the ministry says it has formed a working group to conduct research to carry out the program.
Minister A.Tsogtsetseg underlined that after reviewing the operations of hospitals and clinics in Khan-Uul and Songinokhairkhan District last Friday, it is clear that the improvement of access to equipment and technology is a problem in urgent need of resolution.
She stated that the ministry was able to reduce the workload at some hospitals by transferring patients to less busy hospitals, and that she planned to resolve equipment deficiencies in the same manner. In response to Head of Sukhbaatar District Central Hospital E.Boditsetseg’s concerns about the expansion project at his hospital, the Minister said, “We’re ready to build a new hospital in Sukhbaatar District with assistance from Asian Development Bank. This project will be very significant to the Mongolian health sector.”
