Fifth place winner of the Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games, International Sports Master E.Tsendbaatar, gold medalist of Summer Universiade Kh.Enkh-Amar and silver medalist of the State Boxing Championship G.Bayarkhuu were expelled from the national men’s boxing team after a brawl in a night club.

E.Tsendbaatar left training campus in Khandgait with five other boxers to a night club and had a brawl with some men in the club. The boxers refused to fight and ran away, but E.Tsendbaatar was hit by a car as he ran. Currently, he is being treated at the National Trauma and Orthopedic Research Center of Mongolia.

The suspects told local reporters, “It is true that we argued and fought, but we didn’t hit him with a car. That was another person.”

On March 20, the national boxing team held a meeting and gave the three athletes a six-month ban.
