USD exchange rate rises by 0.07 percent

The USD exchange rate against the MNT has experienced a 0.07 percent increase in the last four days. According to the exchange rate figures released by Mongol Bank on March 22, the USD exchange rate rose to 2,459.38 MNT.

The exchange rate had decreased on March 21, after Mongol Bank fulfilled two-thirds of the USD swap requests submitted by commercial banks, but the drop was short-lived.

Thus far, in 2017, the USD exchange rate dropped at the end of January to 2,463 MNT, but rose again in February.

The Chinese RMB exchange rate has also risen in the last six days. Mongol Bank announced on March 22 that the RMB exchange rate had reached 357.18 MNT. This figure is the highest it has been this year since March 7.
