Tourism Business Owners Forum to take place in Ulaanbaatar
The 2017 Tourism Business Owners Forum is set to be held on April 14, under the slogan “Issues the Tourism Industry is Facing and Ways to Address Them”.
The forum is being organized by the Mongolian Tourism Association and the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with support from the Board of Tourism. The agenda for the forum will cover over 80 issues the tourism industry is facing, and its organizers will form eight working groups to identify and share solutions. The forum will serve as a platform for feedback from tourism business owners, allowing them to openly discuss issues and to work together to come up with solutions.
Expected participants include representatives from governmental and non-governmental organizations, domestic and international industry researchers, and representatives from various businesses within the tourism industry. Attendees are expected to hold meetings during the forum and release a summarized report on the issues the tourism industry currently faces.
The goal of the forum is to determine the shared goals of business owners and non-governmental organizations, determine future strategies for developing the tourism industry, align private interests with the country’s policy interests, create a healthy industry based on solidarity, and to address key challenges together.
The forum’s many topics of discussion will include legal issues businesses face, ways to implement effective marketing policies for available transport systems, cooperation between tourist service providers, and problems with human resources. The forum will also include lectures and discussions on improving the quality of services provided and cooperation between the tourism sector and non-governmental organizations.
