Ger district residents to gain improved access to state services

-

During the latest meeting of the Mayoral Council, city officials initiated a Culture Industry subprogram to build a new State Service Center to enhance the accessibility of state services for ger area residents.

A working group proposed establishing the new State Services Center near the 6th bus stop, which is located in a very densely populated ger area. The new service center is expected to help reduce the workload at State Service Centers across the city and contribute to the improvement of service delivery.

The 6th bus stop is located in the northern part of Ulaanbaatar, in close proximity to the 13th khoroo of Chingeltei District, 10th khoroo of Sukhbaatar District, and 2nd khoroo of Bayanzurkh District, which are home to 231,000 ger area residents.

People traveling to summer homes along this route and area businesses would be able to easily utilize the State Service Center at the 6th bus stop location, the working group reported.

City officials approved the proposal, and also decided to transfer some state services to three khoroos to see if the change could boost accessibility to services.

There are 77 state services available at khoroo service centers. The variety of services offered will increase to 120 in the 8th khoroo (Bayankhoshuu) in Sukhbaatar District, 9th khoroo (Denjiin Myanga) in Chingeltei District, and 27th khoroo (Dari-Ekh) in Bayanzurkh District.

State Service Centers are currently located at Dragon Center, Dunjingarav, and Misheel Expo in Ulaanbaatar. These centers provide 271 state services offered by 17 government organizations, and they served over 413,000 people last year.
