Ulaanbaatar to generate employment opportunities
The Ulaanbaatar Mayor’s Office, Ulaanbaatar Trade Union, and Mongolian Employers' Federation established a trilateral agreement to protect people’s right to work, formulate legislation, and carry out guidelines for social partnerships.
The 2017-2018 agreement on labor was signed by Mayor of Ulaanbaatar S.Batbold, Executive Director of the Mongolian Employers' Federation Kh.Ganbaatar, and Head of the Ulaanbaatar Trade Union S.Jargalsaikhan last Friday. The parties agreed to carry out 22 measures to boost employment, develop small and medium-sized enterprises, ensure the implementation of the Law on Labor Safety and Hygiene, strengthen regulatory supervision, and to execute productive cooperation and social partnership.
Mayor S.Batbold said that the capital launched the One Family – One Job program with private companies and organizations, in an attempt to increase employment and create more jobs. He encouraged the two federations to actively support companies and assist them in creating more jobs, as well as speed up their employment activities through competitions.
Executive Director Kh.Ganbaatar replied, “As long as the trilateral agreement is effective in the capital, all three sides will fulfill their contracted duties to prevent large-scale strikes and labor movements.”
